One of the most life-changing things I've learned was from Mythbusters, where they proved that lying down and resting with the intention to sleep is still more beneficial than just staying awake, even if you don't fall asleep. It helps to know that just closing my eyes is still doing some good.

Something I love about my family, my Pop Pop especially, is the amount of animals we've had over the years. Several dogs and cats, a handful of birds, but also raccoons, fish, a squirrel, a turtle, a hawk, a toad, a deer, a rabbit, and a snake.

I feel bad for kids these days as streaming is the norm. They'll never know the high-stakes adrenaline of running to the bathroom or fridge or whatever in a single ad break, with the beckoning call of your sibling screaming "IT'S BACK ON!" to send you hurdling over the couch to make it in time.

Sometimes I get an idea for something and then I spend the next 10 minutes looking for a resource I'm pretty sure I have, even though it'd be way easier to just look up said resource again.
