look I know being an engaged citizen IS the work of democracy but it is also the work of elected officials not to create situations where everyone has to be mobilized all the time to prevent them from allowing some kind of Dickensian horror on a Sunday night while you're in between loads of laundry

I think a thing we'll learn tonight is that people fucking hate what is going on and they will straight ticket vote against anyone involved in starving people while pillaging the country and kidnapping their neighbors. I don't think it matters at all who that person is.

I know times are tough but the rescue I got my dog from, Mutt Scouts, is literally almost out of money. They do incredible work, rescuing dogs in the most dire of situations who would not survive in the shelter system. Please consider giving a tiny bit 💕 www.instagram.com/p/DPeo9XagUM...

There’s a couple of women who live in my complex who are frequently sitting outside the building to smoke and chat. They’ve always been so excited when I walk past with Harley and have been trying for like, two years to get her to like them (she’s very selective in her affection!)

Awwww man. So the Actually Romantic thing was real? That actually bums me out so hard. Sympathy Is a Knife is one of the most vulnerable pop songs out there and… definitely wasn’t an insult??

Did you know you could just write a book? Like no one can stop you. You can just sit down and write it.

Major companies and industry leaders need to protect developers, partners, and creators.

Speak out against harassment campaigns. Ignoring them allows the people who are already safe and untouchable to remain so, while leaving at-risk folks to face hate and harassment head-on and alone.

I absolutely loved working at IGN, but I was so burnt out and overworked that I felt I had to leave. I don’t regret that decision, but I am still sad I had to make it.

When I was leaving, my biggest concern was my already small, overburdened news team would be even more overworked.
Ziff Davis and IGN routinely decide that work done by our laid off colleagues is not important. But inevitably, that crucial work falls onto those who remain.

Not this time. Not anymore.

In the four years I've been at IGN I've watched its staff shrink and shrink, all while those who remain are asked to do more and more. I see colleagues skip lunch, stay late day after day, and burn out.

IGN staff are passionate and love their work. But we can't keep letting that be exploited.

There’s been a lot of talk about entertainment criticism over the past few days, and I appreciate that!

I would love to see similar energy for entertainment reporters. The people putting their asses on the lines to give a voice to the under-represented in this industry. Reporting is *hard.*

I am so confused by this headline. “Boost” Hollywood coverage but axe most of your core entertainment writers?

If I’m being cynical (and I see no reason not to be), that probably just means hiring people you can pay less. variety.com/2025/digital...

Do these people think children should just be kept in fucking kennels til they deem them cool enough to exist in public?
