Boom!

Really encouraged by types of players Coach DDV is bringing in so far.

There are obvious questions about how all will fare at a higher level, but they are archetypes we haven't seen much in recent seasons.
In the last 10 days, IU has added Reed Bailey, Lamar Wilkerson, Jasai Miles and Taytom Conerway. Your annual reminder that the portal moves slowly until it doesn’t. #iubb

Lamar Wilkerson wanted to be "a priority". Indiana coach Darian DeVries went the extra mile to make sure Wilkerson felt that way about Indiana. In an interview with college basketball website Field Of 68, Wilkerson detailed his decision-making process. www.si.com/college/indi...

What an unfortunate way for Emanuel Sharp's tournament to end. He's been so clutch.

Tough way to lose for Houston. Congrats to Florida.

The DeVries Era officially begins now.

Yeah, I'm kind of in the same boat. I still enjoy making the occasional joke, but it's more for the lols than an indication of any lingering regret. It didn't work out for Sampson at IU, but he's turned into the coach it always seemed he could be. Now we need to find our own.

Who are you rooting for tonight?

I know this is the wrong answer for an IU account to give ... but I think I'll end up pulling for Houston.

I've already built the muscle memory rooting for them against Purdue & Duke, and I find their toughness and chemistry pretty easy to root for.

Congratulations to @zachosterman.bsky.social for winning the Jim O’Connell Award for excellence in beat reporting by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.

A well-deserved honor for a writer IU fans are lucky to call our own.

That's pretty cool.
Then and now…

The Columbia coaching staff in March of 2014.

Now the head coaches at #Florida, #Stanford, #Fordham, #Columbia, & the associate head coach at Florida.

I would LOVE to be able to imagine that level of sports suffering.

There's always a UConn basketball championship shirt. Just need to create fill-in-the-blank templates each year for men's or women's, apparently.

Houston's historic win against Duke started with a loss to the Blue Devils a year and a week ago. The Cougars had been here before, and they wouldn't wilt.

And yes, the foul call on Flagg was a terrible, game-changing call.

Also: nobody besides Duke fans give a damn.

The Blue Devils will be paying off their debt from all the calls Coach K in the tournament got for a long, long time.

Duke has some great players, but many of them are still boys. Houston has a bunch of men that will either rip your heart out or die trying.

And man I really want to describe IU basketball that way again someday.
