The Gaza strip is not "war-torn," @albomp.bsky.social.

The Gaza strip is "an extermination camp."

What will it take for you to condemn THIS GENOCIDE and act to let Israel know their CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY are seen and there shall be meaningful consequences, including at The Hague? #auspol

Aust must be proactive in ending the #genocide by ceasing sale of weapon components to Israel, backing & preferably joining ICJ case against Israel’s genocide, imposing sanctions against Israel & dismissing the Israeli Ambassador to Aust. #palestine #gaza @senatorwong.bsky.social @albomp.bsky.social

Pete can't take a trick. Very unflattering view of the top of his head peaking over the voting booth. I'm curious - he appeared to cast an absentee vote in his seat of Dickson. Does a member not have to live or even be registered to vote in their seat? #auspol

Let that sink in.

Louise Milligan reports on the monstrous psychopath George Pell. The evidence from little boys unaware of each other’s torment: so similar & heartbreaking. Pell embodied the Church’s official depraved indifference but he was also a monster to real children. His churches are all crime scenes.

Margaret Thatcher
Ronald Reagan
George Pell
Brian Thompson

I can't wait to see Rupert Murdoch on this ever growing list.

Apparently all the PhD researchers holding prestigious NSF-funded research fellowships are having their salaries withheld until some unspecified time when the leadership figures out how to eliminate any grant funding that doesn’t align with the president’s political ideology.
It’s official: all funding requests made on Tuesday by postdocs for their salaries have been unilaterally rejected by NSF.

An update on this: the Bishop confirms his priests did get JobKeeper during COVID (even though his lawyers argue in another context they aren’t technically employed by the diocese and therefore the diocese isn’t vicariously liable if they abused children) because churches closed during lockdowns.
A question for Bishop Bird, of Ballarat, who instructed his lawyers to go all the way to High Court to avoid paying damages to a complainant of child sexual abuse on basis that priests aren’t technically employed by his diocese:
Did your priests accept JobKeeper during COVID pandemic?
If so, why?

Unsolicited writing advice, #17171617:
Don't just write. Read books. Watch films. Look at paintings and sculpture. Play games. Go to plays. Listen to music. Think about how these things make you feel.
Making art is a two-way stream. To make art, you have to consume art.
