I strongly believe in the breadth and influence of independent art, to grant us oblique angles on the world and ourselves.
But also every indie game is somewhere on this spectrum:

Honestly it makes me think of the breadth of folks who are Warhammer 40k Fans. My club is full of Queers and Lefties, but there's also those out there who unironically post "God Emperor Trump" pics.

Hope all is well, and excited to see what everyone's been cooking up.

In the meantime, pardon me while I keep checking the feed for when the episode drops.

Tempted to make a sticker with a QR code for "Forbidden knowledge" that links to the American Library Association list of Banned and Challenged Books.

people who use goodreads: jeff bezos owns goodreads and if you want a better alternative there is a black woman owned company called storygraph that you can use to replace it. you can transfer all of your data from goodreads to storygraph and have your mind be free of trumpie jeff bezos! win win. 💙

Working on a big very chunky crochet blanket. Gonna take forever and gonna be where most of my disposable income disappears, but it's been very satisfying making progress.

You know that "it's hard to feel existential dread when you knit socks" post? I'm currently crocheting a very chunky blanket (7 weight yarn and 25mm hook) and can confirm that it helps.

I loved "What Moves the Dead" and "What Feasts at Night". It's been a rough year for me personally, beyond the recent results, and those books helped give me an escape and rekindle my love of reading. Thank you and keep up the good work. ❤️

Books are medicine. Not because they're escapist, but because they're human.

Reading is slowness, and nuance, and discovery—and compassion. It's attention in a world that's trying, at every turn, to distract you.

An author shares the intimacy of her thoughts, and for a moment, we're believers.
