It is weird indeed that the peace deal for Ukraine is negotiated between Russia's sovereign wealth fund chief and Steve Witkoff / Jared Kushner, instead of between US secretary of state, Russian foreign minister, Ukraine representatives and EU representatives.
I need you to listen to and share this story - of how Trump is preparing to abandon Ukraine in exchange for Russian money for his billionaire friends.

It could be the greatest corruption of American foreign policy in our history. Russia gets Ukraine. Trump's friends get rich.

Ukrainian origins of Carol of the bells:

Composed by the Ukrainian composer, Mykola Leontovych, the song "Shchedryk", meaning bountiful, had its performance debut in 1916 in Kyiv.

It was later adapted as an English Carol with different lyrics in 1936, and has garnered worldwide popularity.

Bharathiyar had intense concern for social justice and human dignity. One of his poetic quotes showing this passion was (translated from Tamil):

"If a single individual goes without food, we will destroy this world."

It is not a literal call for destruction, but rather a call for social justice.

The character limit of 300 in BlueSky is insufficient to convey anything of detail. It's just 50 to 60 words.. simply not enough.

I wonder why such a tiny limit...

Irrespective of what she has stood for in the past, Marjorie Taylor Greene took a courageous and consequential stand on the release of Epstein files.

She apologized once for her earlier participation in toxic politics. I think there is no need for every journalist to keep asking her to apologise.

In India, instead of talking about current issues, the leadership continues to talk about the mistakes of the past. It's been going on for over 10 years.

Every one, inclusive visionary patriotic leaders, make mistakes.

Time to move on and focus on today's issues and ways to resolve them.

Putin could stop the war TODAY, by agreeing to a ceasefire that freezes the current frontline. He chooses to continue it, causing enormous loss of life.

The UN has become toothless because every country only wants to protect its own selfish interests, rather than collective good and human values.

Apart from Faux News, televangelists like this play a huge role in polarising the politics..

What harsh words to use against an established political party !

We are having floods in some areas and extended dry spells in other areas.

Humans must face the facts about climate change and act quickly, decisively and impactfully.

Listen to this amazing speech by Kenya ambassador to the UN at the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

He explains why we should be satisfied with existing borders and strive for economic, legal and other integrations.. and saying no to wars and conquests.

The history of the world for the last 5000 years is full of wars, and the rise and fall of kingdoms and empires.

Only since the end of WW2 and the dissolution of the Soviet Union in the 80s, have there been relatively stable borders.

The rise of authoritarianism threatens this fragile peace.

Russia's manned space flights will be affected because of this launch pad damage.

Russia needs to stop the war with Ukraine, and focus on improving its infrastructure and capabilities in all areas, and focus on the well-being of its people. The war has gone on for too long..

Post-launch inspections revealed that a critical component of the launch pad, the movable servicing cabin providing crew access to the rocket, collapsed into the exhaust trench beneath the pad.

It would be nice if the UN had the power to negotiate and maintain truce between such warring factions..

or maybe a group of African countries could take up such a role in keeping peace in the neighborhood..

Just wishful thinking !!
More than 650,000 people have fled the Sudanese city of el-Fasher for Tawila, and the UN is warning of urgent humanitarian needs.

Sudan’s civil war, which began in April 2023, has killed tens of thousands of people and forced about 13 million from their homes.

As part of the Budapest Memorandum (1994), Ukraine gave up over 3000 Soviet nukes to Russia and signed NPT, in return for security guarantees on sovereignty and territorial integrity, from the US, Russia and UK.

So it is important that Ukraine gets international support in its fight for sovereignty

Democrats must not cave to Trump now.

We cannot allow health care premiums to double, 15 million to lose their health insurance and Trump’s authoritarianism to accelerate.

To surrender now would be a historic tragedy for our country, something history won’t look kindly upon.
