There has been a false narrative of persecution of Christians in this country for years. Because they could not keep their atrocious politics out of my life and threatening all our lives, I'm pro persecution of Christofascists. But the Love Thy neighbor folks can come sit by me any day of the week.

Threads is a general cesspool, but occasionally, there are gems. I have never read a more perfect encapsulation of the Democratic Party than this:

The Trump regime’s problem is always the sheer fucking hubris. They’ll always go too far. They can’t help themselves. The problem is the sheer volume of people that will be hurt and or murdered before it reaches a real tipping point is far, far, far too many.

To my kid, everyone is genderfluid. People are she, he, them, and it. And my kid just doesn’t care. And I love that for them while they’re young. Obviously, we’ll teach the nugget to respect who people are and what is right for them, but for now: peoples is peoples.

Legitimately hard to find the words to express my awe and admiration for the Somerville Market Basket…checkout line wrapped around to the butter section, probably 75 people in front me, and I was out of there in 15 minutes. Truly extraordinary vibes, unbelievable workers.

Not trying to doom. But if you're Bostonian, you know by now we have a LOT of Haitians up here. Many are set to lose their legal status next week. Things might go very left, but we can prepare.

Link up with LUCE, for one, to figure out what they need.

Let's be proactive.

It’ll always be funny that a quick joke in X-Men 30 (Jean and Scott’s wedding issue) led to a very long love affair with Thomas Dolby. But here we are: youtu.be/rmGxh1FhtxE?...

There’s a lot of whiny fucks pussed off that Holly Hunter’s character on Starfleet academy is disrespecting the chair and other nonsense. To be clear, Hunter is absolutely cooking and I, for one, appreciate the bisexual representation.

This is the perfect distillation of how my fellow white folks have absolutely ruined and obfuscated MLK Jr’s message to make those in power and those who are racist feel good.

As a life long fan of Williams, this is absolutely the correct take.
Nerds, we should be at /least/ as obsessed with Jerry Goldsmith's film score work as we are with John Williams'. Maybe more. At least all of Goldsmith's stuff didn't sound the same.

Been seeing a lot of folks call Starfleet Academy “a show for teenagers.” And let me just say:

Star Trek Starfleet Academy is a show for teenagers the same way Star Trek Prodigy is a show for children.

I didn’t realize exactly how much of a mess maker my kid was until Calvin died. He really worked hard to help us keep the house clean (from food).
