I planted spinach and green onions together. This combination is called companion planting. Their root depths are different, so they don’t compete with each other for nutrients.

Twice.

This is a cherry tomato seedling grown in soil. The stem is reddish in color. Maybe the soil is slightly acidic.

Hydroponics.
In my method, I cut a PET bottle, turn the top upside down, and simply place it on the bottom. Some people say you should drill holes so the roots can grow through them, but I prefer a simpler way.

Black kale, cavolo nero. I haven’t eaten this vegetable yet, but I’d like to introduce it to people who don’t know it.

I give thanks for the gifts of nature. Nothing from the rice harvest is wasted. After harvesting rice, rice husks and rice straw are used to keep the soil warm and moist, and rice bran is used for compost. The nutrient ratio is NPK = 2:4:1.5.

The field owner gave me wara for free. Wara is rice straw made after harvesting rice. Farmers use rice straw to cover the ground to keep it warm and moist.

This picture shows a raised bed for garlic. In the cold winter, the wara works like a blanket.

I found aphids and dealt with them. I planted rocket and sunny lettuce to absorb excess nitrogen (N). The broad beans are growing well.

Bean roots are thick, long, and straight.

Wabi Sabi.

I received a lot of fallen leaves to cover the pathway between the raised beds and to absorb rainwater.

However, a neighbor said, “You’re inviting insects. There are a hundred drawbacks and not a single benefit.”

I bought this.
Analog.

I’m making bokashi fertilizer with rice bran and soil at a 1.5:1 ratio.

Do you want to try rare vegetable because it's rare?

Oh, disappeared!!

I received three turnips from the field. When I arrived at the entrance, a mother with two boys opened the door and waited for me to get on the elevator because I was carrying many bags. I gave them two turnips. The boys smiled as they held the fresh turnips.

If you understand the underlying principles, you can apply them to almost anything.

It rained for two days in a row. It looks like small flying insects are breeding in the soil at the field. They’re not harming the vegetables, but it’s yucky. Do you have any ideas to avoid them?

I rented this field in October. We haven’t generated any revenue yet, as the harvest is expected in spring. We need numbers and clear benefits.

OMG. Mushrooms appeared between strawberry seedlings.
