About a third of #Colorado legislators initially landed their seats via vacancy committee appointment. Doesn't feel like a great system, but special elections are costly and gubernatorial appointments are an even less democratic option.
Colorado State Sen. Janet Buckner to resign
Buckner, who just won reelection unopposed said she wants to focus on her family, and helping other Black women get into politics.

The IRS is sending out more than 125,000 notices to individuals who made $400,000 or more and failed to file returns between 2017 and 2021.

It's estimated that the richest Americans are dodging $150 billion worth of taxes every year.

This is why IRS funding is a good thing.
