3/The 1970s amendment passed Congress but wasn't ratified by enough states to meet Congress' deadline. Virginia ratified in 2020 & since then, ERA supporters have advocated for the President to declare it the law and call for the Archivist to publish it. That's what Joe Biden did this morning.

I’ve kept sketchbooks, journals and diaries for years in the pursuit of artistic activities but never thought about the history of the common notebook and how it changed the world. From the Renaissance to modern theories on AI- a simple bound stack of paper made it all possible.
