Last couple of years taught me to do this before starting/joining a fight online:
1. Am I sure the OP’s intent was malicious and I’m in the position to judge?
2. Will my words help to solve the problem/make situation better?
3. Do I have spare time/energy for internet justice?

easy example re: "bad parsing" lives on bsky. we're better than many sites w/this.
however. you're still getting ppl up in arms about 1 word they read and going aggro over nothing.
this is not willful for all and it's learned. it must be unlearned. easier if they were taught measured critique.
