🧵 Shutdown Week Resources -- Day 5

🧵 Today's feature is Advocacy! We knew we didn't want to build another "magic box" that churns out talking points or tries to organize your calendar. We wanted to put our data to use. (1/6)

🧵 Today's feature is Ellipsis (Live Alerts)! From one-person communications shops to Fortune 500 companies with in-house lobbying teams and hired guns alike, there's no way to maintain complete situational awareness. Or there wasn't -- until now. (1/5)

🧵 Today's feature is Reader! Tired of short CRS summaries or AI tools that “guess” what a bill means? Reader breaks down every section of legislation in 3 precise formats -- Original, Plain English, & Digest -- all fully navigable w/a dynamic table of contents & side-by-side view. (1/5)

Shutdown Day 7: The Senate convenes at 10AM ET. Of note, one of the Democrats that had been voting with the majority has hinted they may switch to "no" if no progress on healthcare is made -- meaning we may be one step further from passage than just a few days ago.

Shutdown Day 6: House is out all week (with 48 hours’ notice required should Members need to return for a vote). Senate is in, at least for now, and intends to continue bringing both bills up to see if vote margins change. Going to be an interesting week!

🧵 Shutdown Day 1: the House remains in recess, and the Senate will convene at the top of the hour to resume deliberations. The House-passed extension through November 21 (H.R. 5371) failed in the Senate by a vote of 55-45 yesterday. They will try to pass it again.
