Apocalypse Now. 1979. The kinetic energy in this sequence is insane — the arrival of Kilgore. No CGI, no post production cheating. The entire backdrop is constantly *moving* — a la Akira Kurosawa. The coordination it must have taken; Coppola even cameos as a filmmaker barking directions.
