Sustainable farm + vineyard, building community & sharing the beauty of food, wine, and cocktails.
Until now, we’ve shied away from skin contact fermentation. This year is different, made possible with wider steel tanks and a new punch down tool.

Today, we pressed our first serious vintage of skin-contact fruit. No longer an experiment in potential.

This year’s vintage is our largest to date: just under 4 tons.

That’s small fry for big wineries, but for us, it’s a milestone.

We are incredibly grateful for the friends and family who helped us to manually press hundreds of pounds of grapes.

Cheers to another harvest, and many more to come.

Finding refuge in the apple harvest.

The world feels precarious. Humanity, unpredictable.

But the apples continue to ripen. The wind still roams quietly over the valley. The dry September sun still bakes my shoulders as I work.

Life continues.

As summer transitions into autumn, the harvest begins to change. Melons, okra, tomatoes…and then winter squash, poblanos, garlic.

Late summer is a season unto itself. It’s our favorite time of year in the CSA.

Every week is an adventure. Learn more on our website.

Rule number one of fence repair: there are no repairs.

One of the joys of rehabilitating an old vineyard is its unexpected quirks. In this case, a fence that likes to break at random, everywhere.

Moments like these make this journey worthwhile.

We had so much fun at the @oenoverse x @abvferments wine fête, we only have two photos to share.

Thanks for hosting @commonwealthcrush, and thanks @teachers_pet_nat for inviting us.

Finally! We reach the cordon.

These vines had a rough start. Years of drought and naughty deer thwarted all upward ambitions. We’re finally catching up!

These Cayuga vines are the most advanced in the vineyard. As the vines mature, we see how different varieties respond to our climate.

Sweet Potato Taho: the Appalachian/Filipino hybrid you never knew you needed.

Taho is a traditional Filipino dessert made from shaved silken tofu, tapioca pearls, and brown sugar syrup.

Our version replaces some of the syrup with our Equinox Gentiane.

I heard it was National Women in Wine Day. I’m showing up late to the celebration.

Cheers to all the other woman-bodied winemakers in cellars held together by masking tape and caulk.

I don’t have much to say about this day other than a message to the women who need to hear it:

You got this.
