It's the last #WorkoutWednesday of the year, time to do a little retrospective. On the left is Dec 2024 and 265lb, on the right is today... and 265lb! I had a very successful bulk-cut-bulk (265-283-246-265) and had the motivation to put in the work. Here's to an even bigger 2026!

I'd rather see what's underneath than have it be hidden. I want to see people indulging their special interests unapologetically, striving for something weird but cool, trying to do something hard, even if they fail. Validating and encouraging people who TRY is my addiction. 🧡

I tend to prefer the company of people who are imperfect and striving for goals aside than just "success."
People who seem perfect either are suppressing major parts of themselves, or they've cut themselves off so entirely from anything abnormal that they're terminally boring.

This is a great point but I also want to add: when you enter a space, to your knowledge, the people who are well known have always been well known. They haven't! Everyone starts out somewhere.

Networking doesn't mean schmoozing up to famous people, it means making friends with your peers. Then in 10 years, 20, one of you might be famous? And sure you're still helping each other cus well yeah friends.

Talking to one of these types at a con who asked how I 'got in' with so many 'famous writers' who I'd been talking to and I said "we made friends before anyone knew who we were decades ago by striking up interesting conversations and enjoying each other's company" and he kept re-asking the question.
