We know so little about the emotional experiences of #autistic and #ADHD young people who struggle to attend or are excluded from school even though this group is at much higher risk of mental health difficulties and poor life chances. We want to change this.

I'm thrilled to have been nominated for Champion for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in the Cardiff Student's Union Enriching Student Lives Awards.

I try to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment, so my students nominating me feels particularly meaningful.

How taking part in research has benefited me.
As well as being an Autistic autism researcher I take part in other people’s research studies.
This is partly altruistic as I want to reduce inequalities and improve things for future generations, but I also gain a great deal from it personally.
