I know I did like, a full-on Doom port a while back, but for some reason playing Snake on top of a running circuit is equally exciting.

@alpenglow.bsky.social got me wondering if it's possible to do an infinity mirror with a 45º bend in it. Turns out it totally is.

(There were much easier ways to validate this that don't involve an overnight render)

Woo! The ALASKAN BULL WORM! PSRAM Mod Kits are ordered, and I wrote a whole thing about them in my store.

ALASKAN BULL WORM! Jumperless V5 PSRAM Mod Kit
8 megabytes of extra room for activities! Do PCB assembly crimes in the process! The Jumperless V5's RP2350B has 520kB of RAM, which is pretty awesome for a microcontroller. But in the course of scope...

I regret to inform everyone that this bit will continue.

I'm considering making an ALASKAN BULL WORM! mod kit for the Jumperless to give it 8MB of PSRAM for Micropython and a better onboard logic analyzer.

Like anything I've released as a kit, it will involve committing some heinous PCB assembly crimes.

Jumperless V5 now has a built-in 1960s wallpaper generator!

(It's actually showing the physical paths your connections take through the 12 crossbar switches in the same colors they appear on the breadboard)

These beautiful mfs seriously make the greatest hardware “review” show ever; because they’re not actually reviewing anything, it’s just slice-of-life first few hours with a new dev board and omg I’m terrified.

I don't think I've had a reason to solder the probe sense pads on without the breadboard underneath and it looks super weird.

(Someone wanted to do dome hardware mods to their Jumperless that'll be a lot easier if I send them one partially assembled)

omg I'm reading this dumb twitter article but can't continue because I'm laughing too hard at this diagram. Like, using this as a definition of an intelligent system then crashing into the fucking rocks because you don't know wtf a lighthouse is.

When you scope creep a project so hard you need to draw your board outlines in Fusion 360...

Woo! Just got a box of 200 more Jumperless V5s.
These are rev 7, the only real difference is they have 2 friction-fit OLED headers on the main board, so it can sit in that crevice between the Nano headers (or scoot it over to the right if you have something in there that would cover it.)

Wowowow! Husband got me a jumperless for the holidays :o

I'm so stoked! What a beautiful piece of hardware that @architeuthisflux.bsky.social has created

Excited to shirk my other projects and play with this lol

This is the sort of nonsense you end up doing when trying to support existing hardware rather than just selling a new revision.

Seeing all those LLM CLI tools having those fun block character title screens made me want my own.

And no, I didn't have an LLM make this, just 6 hours toggling pixels in Photoshop. Pixel art is such a hyperfocus black hole.

Oh no! Ants got into my lab and are all over my breadboard.

Luckily, it's the species commonly found in circuit simulators to visualize current flow. They finally broke out of the simulation onto real hardware.

Good for them.
