When you agree to pass 5 of 6 appropriations bills, then you later agree to pass funding for everything that is in the 6th bill except for one agency (ICE) that has already been prefunded in a previous bill, you are giving up every bit of leverage you have and selling out.

I agree with the first part of this statement, though I also believe that the window to “get through this” has passed. They’ve destroyed the economy and irrevocably damaged nearly a century of relationships and good will.
The country may get through this in the end, but unlikely in my lifetime.
