I'm asking for infrastructure geeks and eagle-eyed observers out there to please join the deflock game. RULES: Go to deflock(.)me, learn what ALPR's look like. Spot them. Stop safely. Use what3words to map them. Add their location to OpenStreetMap. Never driver by them again.
Was checking out Windy, and if you live on Cape Cod there's a chance that wind coming down from the northeast could circle back around outside the bay and smack you again. That's just rude.

Corn tortilla. Broccoli. Chicken. And one other thing. Maybe a carrot! Maybe a bit of cheese! We assumed that it had to be food. That was our mistake, I think. Assuming that the One Other Thing had to be food.
The ‘One Other Thing’ That Comes With Every Trump-Era Dinner
The Agriculture secretary suggests one corn tortilla, one piece of broccoli, one piece of chicken, and one inscrutable last thing.

I propose that all members of Congress must display the corporate logo lapel pins of their top 10 donors at all times while on Capitol Hill, or appearing on television.

This is what happened in our neighborhood yesterday. ICE snatched a human being off of our streets, roughed them up badly, and then pepper sprayed legal observers as they documented it all. This is a daily occurrence happening all throughout Minnesota right now.

Future Dem debate question: "Since using the DOJ to prosecute political enemies is the norm, who are the first five people your administration will target, regardless of whether they've done anything against the law?"

Here's a photo of my friend and colleague, Jorge Bautista, getting shot in the face with a flashbang grenade. The ICE Agent is so afraid of Jorge (who was posing no threat) that he has wet himself. Please share this photo. Everyone needs to know what cowards ICE agents are.

What would be the wildest concert for a fight to break out at?

Ironically, movie and TV productions are the closest things to small scale military operations. It takes a small army of ppl to get 3 actors and a camera into a room in Paris. Maybe a few more gay and non-binary ppl involved, but not by many.
most of these people think military effectiveness is homoerotic guys in tank tops playing volleyball between fighter jet missions but the real military is ten thousand people in an office making sure food goes where it needs to

I guess hoarding all the guns wasn't about facing down the "jack-booted" thugs so much as protecting the hoard of guns. Huh.

I think what gets left out of these discussions, including this one, is a basic civics lesson on what "Liberalism" means. It does not mean left-wing. It's a system of Govt based on free speech and consent. Locke was the Founders' inspiration, not Jesus.
MAGA is embracing the kind of tactics it once deplored, Idrees Kahloon argues. "A culture of self-censorship is destructive. But prescribing state ideology as a cure is like treating a migraine with a lobotomy."
America’s Illiberalism Doom Loop
Republicans had real grievances with progressive orthodoxy—and are using them to justify drastic reprisals.

PT Anderson's "One Battle After Another" has a giant budget, giant stars and giant action. But what real Pynchon fans want to know is, "does it have a giant adenoid?"

“In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in the case of poetry, it’s the exact opposite!” — Paul Dirac

I had no idea Dirac was so funny! I wonder if he and Feynman were a riot together.

Another discussion all the cool kids are having that I don't have a single thing to say about. I can't think of a single thing I've held onto since childhood, except extreme misanthropy of course.
My increasingly close-held crank take is that we need to be way better about casting off childish things, or at the bare minimum recognizing they’re for children and feeling weird about that
Is Harry Potter mainly for kids?

Entirely/mostly for children: 43%
Equally for children and adults: 50%
Entirely/mostly for adults: 3%
