I love the work I do. I just went to assess a man, he was surly & mean; had been rude to all the nurses. After he snapped at me, I clarified my role and told him I was the one in control of what happened next. And then I listened. He's really a sweet guy who lost his way. Glad I could help.

Even though Georgia is sitting on a nearly $15B budget surplus, the state has chosen not to distribute SNAP benefits until the shutdown ends. As a result, I'm sharing this list of Free Food Resources in metro Atlanta compiled by Partners for Home. Please share. #snapbenefits #atlantafoodpantry

I've wanted to start a nonprofit since 2017. I went to grad school, did the internship, did all the supervised hours and earned my license last year. And now the timing is not right. I've had to pivot. I'm still working on it, being intentional about it, but I'll have to wait.
So has anyone else had to rethink their career as a result of this administration?

I saw a kid outside TJ Maxx who asked if I would get him something to eat. I always help kids if I can. I told my dad and my best friend and their reactions were disheartening. My friend said I was doing too much. My dad started ranting about good Samaritans being shot at gas stations. Smh.

It so easy to not say dumb shyte, especially not about someone’s kid. I don’t understand why some folks choose to invite violence upon themselves. You never know how motivated someone might be to hunt you down in real life for something you type on the interwebs.

Babe surprised me with tix to the Queens tour. I tried to hold back tears (unsuccessfully) watching Gladys Knight because she looks and moves just like my mom. Their mannerisms are so similar. Gladys even played off forgetting the words like my mom. 😢
