Hello to all of my new followers! You should know that while I always try to be respectful, I am an Exmormon who sometimes will rant about the actions of the church and its members. I don’t like to criticize someone’s belief systems without their consent, so consider this your warning.
It’s 69 degrees here today. In Minnesota. In November. I don’t know what to do with this information, so here you are (Also the house kitty corner to ours decided to have their roof redone on the day when all of their neighbors want to have their windows open. This is fine 👀).

Yes. Prosecute them ALL. If they knew, if they were complicit, if they participated. Every last one of them. I don’t care which party, who they are, how beloved or rich or supposedly important. See how this works? Do the crime, pay the time. Those girls deserve justice.

Deleted my Fauci Friday pic because it’s Thursday. Geez, guys. I’m having a real one today. 😱

I had a dream about fascism and woke up sobbing, so here’s a reminder that our bodies “keep the score” and contain within them enormous amounts of hidden stress and anxiety in times like these. Be kind to yourself, take mental health breaks, and adapt aggressive self care. We’re all so tired.

Quadrupling down on video game playing in this house because we just basically can’t tolerate anything else right now. Also playing video games, board games, reading, and playing musical instruments all stave off dementia, and we do all of those things in this home, so… science. That’s right.

The Mormon tendency to look for signs and then think that everything is a message from heaven and is all about them… I have a friend who is completely convinced that the Aurora last night was a message from her dead husband and her family and friends are perpetuating it, and I’m a bit concerned.

“Aurora borealis? At this time of year! At this time of day! In this part of the country! Localized entirely within your kitchen?!?” (Or my front yard…) Slightly blurry because I ran out there in shorts, barefoot. In Minnesota. So I was shivering. 🥶

We were all set to watch the Eagles game, including having made food, only to discover that it’s on ABC/ESPN, which YouTube TV (we dumped Hulu) has temporarily dropped because Disney sucks. My disappointment is immeasurable. End these stupid monopolies, please.

“It makes me feel like, okay, so what was that all for?”

My favorite part about leaving the church was shedding this yoke of female oppression. For over twenty years, my body revolted against me because I allowed old men to dictate my underwear choices. For what, exactly? Control. Never again.
The LDS church unveiled new, skimpier garments. But the right to bare shoulders is causing a stir among the Mormon and ex-Mormon communities.

Ok, guys. I just yelled out, “Crap on a cracker,” and my boys are laughing hysterically and say that my exmo potty mouth is complete. 😂 Thought you all should know that I have apparently leveled up as much as they think I’m capable.

I get asked from time to time since leaving the LDS church what I believe in now. The answer, which was reiterated this week when I had a strong impression that I would have once attributed to the spirit, is me. I believe in me. Those promptings? They’ve been me this whole time.

Ha! My mother, who was the epitome of tacky new money, was constantly telling my husband when we first got married to tie a sweater around his neck for family pictures. She even tried to get him to do it for our engagement pictures. I squished that idea quickly. 😂
Just saw a man wearing a polo shirt with a sweater tied around his neck.

Not in a movie from the ‘80s. In real life!

Caught red tailed, stealing our pumpkin. This deer just scared the living daylights out of me (we have glass front doors- I was making sure they were locked and this deer decided to stand her ground and stare me down).

So the gospel work has nothing to do with clothing the naked, feeding the hungry, or healing the sick? Mmkay. Got it. By their fruits…
Sadly telling for the man who's been in charge of the church's humanitarian operations for years to state this as a juxtaposition. Purposefully emphasizing that humanitarian work and the work of the church are different things...

Teen’s walking Fauci, and I just heard a barbaric yawp coming from their direction down the street. Occasionally our Goldendoodle thinks he’s ferocious… or something. He doesn’t realize that the other dogs in the neighborhood (mostly pitts, huskies, and German shepherds) are unimpressed.
November 7, 2025 at 9:28 PM
And thus we see why my teen just applied to a very tiny liberal arts school for early admission so that we don’t have to touch any of these big capitulating schools with a ten foot pole. Hopefully our plan pays off (have I mentioned it’s a terrible time to have a teen applying for college?!?).

So, does NBC not understand that editing out a comment about Wicked being a story about standing up to a “power-hungry dictator” (which it is) is just them admitting that they know how very relevant that storyline is right now? Someone should explain the Streisand Effect to them…

We really need to fire our screenwriters. (Guy passes out during a press conference on health, JFK books it out of there as fast as he can, and Trump stands at attention at his desk, seemingly unaware that it’s not still all about him) Horrible, over the top screenplay. And yet, here we are.
incredible photo that's definitely worth at least 1,000 words from Andrew Harnik of Getty

“Europeans recognize his vision about free public transit and universal childcare. We expect our governments to make these kinds of services accessible to all of us. We pay higher taxes and get civilized societies in return.”

Americans allowing their government to exploit them are the weird ones.
