I keep seeing job listings that actually sound interesting and getting my hopes up and spending a lot of time tailoring my resume to ATS and perfecting my cover letter just to know in all likelihood I'll never hear back, even a rejection.

Today was not so great. Whisper ingested mouse poison and we had to take him to the emergency vet. The stuff is really dangerous, but luckily they were able to make him throw it all up. He was so pitiful, just kept trying to hide against me...

Unfortunately, it's looking like due to last minute licensing issues, I will not be able to vend at pride this year. I was really hoping to get some extra money in. I might still go and give out the freebie buttons I've made (well over 150 at this point) with a tip jar and my business cards.
