So far I'm wondering if attending this was a mistake. There is nothing here that has anything but the most surface level of "you can hit this API and get this result" without any justification, rationale, greater picture, or raison d'etre.
Are my standards too high in wanting to know the story?

Went to a restaurant and ordered hot chocolate. What I got was clearly not hot chocolate—I assumed they'd mistakenly gotten me tea instead (I don't mind tea). I got home and checked the receipt, I'd just had coffee.
