My IRL art friends organized a little secret santa thingy back in December, so I did a little experimental painting with various elements that my friend likes!

As both a writer and an artist (not concept artist by my current job title but I do work in film production), it's so much better, easier, and more efficient to do it myself lol. If anything genAI has made my life more difficult when looking for actual real references

if I imagine trying to salvage an AI-generated outline the way a concept artist would have to salvage AI-generated references, well I think I'd rather play in traffic, that'd be an astounding amount of work for a project that would inevitably be 'better than it could've been' rather than 'good'

Dreams are important in the ABYSS setting: it's possible to spy through dreams, visit the Abyss and map it out (Navigator's job), and *be* visited in turn... which can get bad very fast for the dreamer.
Eishan intentionally induces this state upon herself while hunting for clues.
