every time some prominent man is like ‘but all men want to fuck 17 year olds! every last one!’ i feel just fucking empty man. because there’s no way to confirm it isn’t true is there? i can’t prove that all of civilization isn’t just an elaborate cover for men’s supposed desperation to fuck children

While I am more productive on Prednisone because it’s a bit speedy to me, the primary reason for my productivity is probably simply not being in pain all the time.

I love my teen so much and would love to keep him close. But I really wish he’d set his sights beyond the townie university, especially considering that there are many universities that meet 100% of financial aid needs now. Student loans are bullshit.

I like the *idea* of playing with a band. What I don’t like is these guys, at least where I live, who have an “idea” and want to come over and like…have instrument practice? Or book shows/recording time with no songs? No. On the flip side, I rework everything until it ends up in The Pile.

The AFL-CIO should start throwing some money towards labor journalism. If it was done right (i.e. with them accepting that journalists must have full editorial control over what’s published, whether or not union leaders like what they have to say) it could really have such a hugely positive impact

This is disturbing and unfortunately not surprising. I was pinned down by the arms by a patient who attempted to sexually assault me when I was a tech & nursing student at UPMC Presbyterian (nothing happened to that patient though; he was just assigned male staff).

Having some guilt about not doing toxic mom groups because, although I did know college admissions have gotten competitive, I completely missed the expectation for kids to take every AP and IB course offered and open a startup before graduating high school.
