Dehumanising language is a key part of the persecution of minorities. It was true for the Holocaust and it has been true forother genocides around the world.
We should not forget it and we should oppose any form of dehumanisation.

It is with the greatest sadness that we have to announce that Searchlight’s founder, Gerry Gable, has died at the age of 88. He had been in frail health for some time, but a recent hospital admission proved too much and he died peacefully last night.

On January 25, 2016, Giulio Regeni, an Italian PhD student at the University of Cambridge, disappeared in Cairo while conducting research on independent Egyptian trade unions. His body was found on February 3 along the road leading to Alexandria, bearing clear signs of torture.

The Piazza Fontana bombing took place on 12 December 1969 at the Banca Nazionale dell’Agricoltura in Milan, causing 17 deaths and 88 injuries. The bombing is often referred to as the “mother of all massacres,” the first and most disruptive act of post-war terrorism
