If you want to get away with murder, use a car ad your weapon. There'll be a slap on the wrist and you'll be free to drive your murder weapon again in virtually no time at all.
"driver who fled the scene after killing a cyclist — and took documents with him in an attempt to cover his tracks... jailed for one year and three months and banned from driving for three years"

3 years and they will be driving again

what is wrong with this country?

Last week 3 lads in a car yelled at me as they overtook, then slowed down so I'd catch them up at the junction and they could yell again. Did they think it was funny to abuse a woman on a bike from the safety of their metal box?
www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

The gendered abuse I get while riding a bike and the weaponised threats I’ve experienced from drivers all have a common denominator: they’re abuses of power, perpetrated by people who do it because they can and because there is no real consequence for either.

After Liverpool, it's worth saying it plainly. Cars are the most accessible weapons in the world. Common, deadly and legally fuzzy. You can injure or kill with intent, neglect or incompetence... often with fewer consequences than using a traditional weapon.

The article is actually about not enough space for children to walk to school as pavement is too small. No mention that the road has 3 lanes of traffic outside it. At least it's being monitored by the Council 🤷‍♂️ If only there was an obvious solution www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Lannan Bakery, in Stockbridge, has become an internet sensation and has a constant queue outside its shop.

Another day, another little erosion of space for people using the shared path on the @london.gov.uk managed #A12 in #Havering.

A VMS sign pushing people closer to 50mph traffic when there is a huge verge in the central reserve where the sign wouldn't be in the bushes.

Reported online.

Someone in Sheffield used a car to harm another and has killed a child. I am profoundly upset, but I do not find it surprising. People regularly weaponise cars to threaten and intimidate, but it’s never treated seriously. We need to share our stories. #stopmotorviolence #stopviolencemotorisee

Could someone explain this reporting to me?

“Car ramming incident” - ramming is an interesting word to use.

Police say “the driver of the Ford Galaxy” but journalists still using “alleged” and “car” rather than “the driver” as in police statement. Very odd.

Otherwise you can take your chances in the traffic.

GOOD LUCK! 🤞

Transport can seem like a nice-to-have, a niche area of politics and government, but in fact it fundamentally shapes our lives. If your only option is to drive, if your health is harmed by air and noise pollution, if you can't use the pavements or there aren't any... these are real daily concerns

Good luck 🤞 to everyone crossing around the London Road junction with Boston Street in Sheffield.

Who needs crossing signals when you have 🤞🤞🤞?

✨Is there somewhere you need to add a bit of extra 🤞? Get your signs at gosquabs.square.site

I’d argue that ‘traffic’ = EVERYONE

.
. . Junction signals and systems should serve us all, not just motorised vehicles.
You know junctions like this one outside the @swfc.co.uk #SWFC #Hillsborough stadium on Penistone Road, Sheffield—traffic lights for traffic but people walking and wheeling just have to🤞🤞🤞

When🤞is the strategy, be sure to put up the appropriate signage.
