Trying to get in the habit of checking this site daily. Man, it's hard when you have a new doggog. :)

Feeling a bit better this morning after last night's Democratic wins. And mega congrats to Zohran Mamdani!

Well, we tried one pond last Sunday and a different one this Sunday. Turns out Yoda (my doggie) likes the pond more that we went to today, so that is our new weekend morning walk location. :)

It's a small victory, but WOO HOO! The doggie I adopted on Saturday pooped OUTSIDE on our walk this morning. :) Again, small victory, but it thrills me nonetheless. :)

This is Yoda the first night he came home. :) He's about 2.

It's weird how much more I feel like me now that the lower half of my hair is forest green again. :) If only it matched my glasses exactly! lol

If you go to her page you can read all 8 parts, and then after all 8 parts is a list of her sources. Very interesting facts here!
Lizards are famous for their ability to detach their tails under stress. But how do they manage to drop them so quickly, and why do they never seem to accidentally lose their tails if they come off so easily?

Bad thing about listening to ESPN radio this morning - half of their conversation today is about Kelce & Swift getting engaged. I don't care! I wish them well, but talk about SPORTS!!!

Any Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis researchers here? Motor Neuron Disease if you're in the UK, IIRC.

Correction. 4 years at MIT.
Finished Ironheart last night. How does a kid who spent 4 years at Harvard or Yale not know the name Mephisto?

Why the heck does my washer & dryer think I want to pay someone to do my laundry for me? Found that offer in their app today. Weird, man, weird.

Anyone else get excited when they realize their annual appointment with their otolaryngologist is less than a month away? :)

Well, unless you live in a smallish apartment. That's why I'm glad I've had a Barnes & Noble nook since they launched. Just got my newest one back in April. If I recall correctly, this is only the third time I've replaced it in the years since 2009 when I got my first one. :)

Here's the Simpsons version of my bestie and me. :) HE's got the cat because he was a total cat dude, and I have the dog because while I love cats, I love doggos more. :)

Oops - first time I've opened Bluesky in a while. Sorry, y'all! Been busy in the real world and joined a gym so I can have more luck getting back on track with my weight loss journey. Sucks to lose 100+ lbs, then have 80 of it come back due to grief (bestie died, then dog died).

I'm all for local news and supporting them, but not the Austin American Statesman. Subscribed for multiple years, had 9 months last year when they were promising me they'd extend my account by a week since I wasn't getting my Sunday paper. Never once happened. Lies galore! SHAME!

Well, drat! I didn't order my new Krypto shirt fast enough to be able to wear it to see Superman this afternoon. C'est la vie! That dog looks SOOOOOOO cute! And, of course, he's Super! :)

Billionaire tax cuts are a policy choice.

Cutting healthcare for millions is a policy choice.

Cutting food assistance for children is a policy choice.

Taking from the poor and giving to the rich is a policy choice.

Make no mistake: Trump and the GOP just chose to do this.

What, exactly, are we celebrating tomorrow?

Our cutting off healthcare to the needy to enrich the greedy?

Our new concentration camps?

Our dying economy?

Our ditching due process?

Our corruption?

Our broken legislature?

Our corrupt SCOTUS?

Our ridiculous buffoon president? #FourthOfJuly

I'm absolutely gob-smacked right now to learn that Michael Madsen has died. I've been a fan at least since Reservoir Dogs. RIP; 67 is too young to go!

Just finished the Jurassic World movie from 2022 that I didn't see yet, and now watching the 2nd movie. Not entirely sure if I ever saw this one or not. I know I read the book for sure, though. Big fan of Michael Crichton's writing.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new movie on the 4th? :)
