If our current administration were actually concerned about spending, they would be encouraging vaccines.
Measles and other outbreaks are quite expensive due to costs of monitoring and containing, productivity losses, direct healthcare costs, etc.

Guess what prevents measles? The MMR vaccine.
Guess what happens when there is a large outbreak like this? Mostly unvaccinated and some vaccinated folks get sick.
