The hits keep coming. The @nytimes.com reported, and a colleague of mine inside SAMHSA confirmed 50% staff reduction. This is immediately horrific: SAMHSA funds on the ground programs that provide direct services, e.g. 988, Disaster helpline, etc. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/12/h...

Seriously. Teen Vogue has some of the best reporting. “In November, a worker’s leg was cut off by the cargo track at the factory. My coworkers and I refused to work until she received compensation. Since December, we’ve had to work 14 hours each day to make up for lost production.”

An orphaned wolf pup named Amora has been paired with a rescue puppy named Slinky. Amora needs socialization to develop properly and Slinky is happy to provide it. Sedgwick County Zoo shared that "Slinky’s playful nature is helping her grow into the wolf she is meant to be." 13/10 for both

The CDC is removing data sets that researchers widely rely upon because they include information on sexual orientation and gender identity. “It feels like they’re trying to will us out of existence,” one researcher tells @theresagaff.bsky.social:
