It's a gorgeous day. Feeling gratitude for a lot of things today, really expensive and hopeful. I used to draw the eight of swords alllllll the time. Less and less, as I change my life. Thanks Cincinnati Review

Should I apply for literary arts grants if I have no intention of 1) going back to school for an MFA, 2) teaching children, or 3) stridently drumming up interest in either my 2-yo book or my new manuscript that's still cocoon jelly? Like is it a total fool's errand??

I haven't been writing much at all in 2024 but tomorrow is my birthday and I'm ending a 15-year era in 2025 and I'm just basically maybe going to put another poetry manuscript together as a 39-yo. Eras ending is kinda crazy sad and completely thrilling at the same time. New ms title: Deep Cuts

Now that EOY chaos is resolving itself a bit, I am having a moment of gratitude that my book has apparently sold 278+ since April. For a nobody debuting with a brand-new small press, I'm honestly stunned and feeling like a million bucks. Happy winter you'uns. @bellepointpress.bsky.social

Wrote a fun thing on this book in my insta and it is too long for these micro sites. So I'm forced to scrap everything except the sock-shoe-book-beer combo

Feels like mom stuff is having a moment. I literally could not be happier, I am smiling this huge smile as the patriarchal fascist machine cranks the screws on everybody writing and elevating mom stuff rn

Anyways thank you @merliterary.bsky.social for all you do, all of it

Wrote this a year ago, after Tennessee's abortion ban went into effect. Got any poems about reproductive rights I should read? I wanna read em!
