In my Masters course I have been covering the Contingent Valuation Method for valuing non-market goods and services (e.g.,environmental amenities). Rather than wade into all the known issues I gave them Carson (2012) vs. Hausman (2012) and will let them debate it out tomorrow in-class

It's so cold and BU's infrastructure is so bad that our office's central boiler has super-heated the building's core, causing the central air conditioning unit to kick on to counteract the boiler, making me consider turning on the space heater in my office to counteract the AC.
