There are never any kids trick-or-treating around here. Yet, every year, I buy Halloween candy and leave it outside.
I just realized that all I’m doing is buying candy to store away like a squirrel for a couple of weeks, so I can enjoy it later without any of the guilt or shame.

Okay, apparently no one saw the BABY DEER post I made previously. It’s either that, or y’all are absolute monsters! So, here are the pics again. It’s rare I get to handle a fawn (because you normally shouldn’t). You WILL say “aww” and give them love!

One reason I do animal rescue work is because they always find me.
You should NOT touch an uninjured fawn. It’s a natural defense for them to play dead. This one went prone in front of my car, so I had to move it. Hope mama didn’t smell too much of me on her baby.
