There's a very very very simple reason why nothing Labour do ever moves the needle on the parlous state of the UK economy.
They have deliberately and repeatedly chosen to ignore the elephant filling every nook and cranny of the room.

Still reeling from the Stanford report on Brexit. Reduced GDP by up to 8% and investment by as much as 18%. The UK Treasury would have £40 billion more each year if Britain had remained in the EU. Devastating self-immolation.
We have to prioritise points right now in my view. Getting players minutes is secondary. I appreciate that ideally you do both, but that isn't happening

This looks really really bad. No one believes they can score and no one believes they can keep a clean sheet. The new players still look out of their depth and the manager doesn't appear to know how to change it. #LFC

It's a worry, as it smacks of a manager hoping something will work as nothing else has.

It was obviously mad at the time that that match went ahead at Anfield and the Covid enquiry report has just confirmed why.
