The rose impaling his throat symbolizes the ecstasy of his lover penetrating him. The border on the far right of the illustration depicts their relationship with various symbolism: an albino snake strangling a raven, branches with thorns, crescent moons, and the symbol for mercury.

Her shorts are a high waisted dark blue that go to mid thigh and have ruffles at the bottom. She also wears dark blue thigh highs. She is posed in a way where it looks like she is casually sitting on the ledge of something and is slightly turning towards the viewer. Her right arm extends slightly out and behind her, supporting herself as she turns.
