Just added a new bit of code to the Bits and Bytes section on my website. This code creates a function to fake a teletype delay effect when you're outputting from PowerShell. Think of the how the football results used to appear on Grandstand on a Saturday afternoon.

I've never hated anything as much as I currently hate Microsoft Intune.

Done the first crack at grouping the tracks. Got it down to a starting lot of 5 different groups. 2 of those will need splitting into a couple of sub-groups, so probably gonna end up with 7 or 8 albums. Few bit of editing and remastering to finish up too. Gonna aim for an early March release.
Mastering is done. 85 tracks. Need to do a little bit of top and tailing on some of them, especially those that have an abrupt ending. Then to the grouping. Then the sequencing. Then the naming of the albums. And the artwork - which needs to be cohesive across them all. And then...
Up to seventy tracks now. The end is sight. Well, I say that. I still need to trim the final exports. Then figure out how I'm going to group and arrange them all. And then where they're going so people can listen to them. Might need artwork too.

Seeing the tweets (over on the other site) where Trump's administration is trying to pretend that he didn't mistake Iceland for Greenland multiple times in his speech reminds me of this Simpsons classic.

Burns: Smithers, are they booing me?

Smithers: Er, no! They're saying... "Boo-urns! Boo-urns!"

The US granted visas to Jews but only allowed 30,000 in from Germany a year. You had to wait for your number to come up.

Meet Robert Smallbones. An unassuming British diplomat who 'hacked' this system so effectively (saving 48 THOUSAND Jews) the UK government kept his scheme secret for decades /1 🧵

"Is it expensive?"

"Well, it's a little deer"

I was reminiscing earlier about what Christmas was like when I was a kid. I was feeling Santamental.

Soundtoys are giving away free plugins in December, but each one is only available for two days. Today's is Little Plate. Despite having almost no parameters to change it's one of my favourite reverbs (I got it when it previously given away). Highly recommended.

Fifty nine tracks done. Still need to do a bit of top and tailing of the audio, but the end is in sight. Then I just need to figure out how to categorise them into albums...

I forsee lots of half empty stadia for the world cup matches in the USA. With the Trump administration's hatred for, basically, every country in the world that isn't sucking up to dear leader, I can't imagine why anyone would want to go - or be safe going. Mexico and Canada will do a roaring trade.

Completed the recording. Including a few remixes it's ninety nine tracks. A bit more than I thought it was... Edits and mastering to do and then I have to figure out how to share them all. Anyone fancy a 12 album retrospective?
