Elayne balefires Jeaine Caide in Episode 8 of Season 3 of The Wheel of Time. This is image is three horizontal panels making one long vertical image. The top image is Elayne pointed the balefire rod at Jeaine and it hitting her and she begins to melt away in a dissipating way, highlighting her spine as her body disappears. The second image is of her body almost feeling dissipated into the air and there are body weave like structures in the air. And the third looks back and Elayne where the weave like structures have recreated Jeaine from a minute before outlining what was her body holding the balefire rod. In the first two images you can see Thom beyond this watching.

1/ S3 Male Channeling - An Evolution of Saidin. Part of the S3 VFX Channeling upgrade included revisiting the Male version of it, especially the black Corruption which mixes within it.

Two big influences on me whilst doing the Rhuidean VFX work for WOT S3. Caspar David Friedrich's 'Wanderer above the Sea of Fog' and Claude Monet's foggy London paintings from the early 1900s.

Probably obvious though?

WOT S3 Channeling - A Thread (literally)
1/ Developing the 'Channeling' was an important aim for us in S3, a magic system so unique and specific to the show. Improving it was one of our main objectives since joining the show during S2.

1/ Continuing the theme of VFX involvement in the WOT S3 Sneak Peak, I present the Entrance Hall of The White Tower, a near full CG shot. We again called on the abilities of Outpost VFX to show an area of the WT never seen before in the show #TheWheelOfTime #WoTSkies
