$15B in projects cancelled, listed one by one in the link here; 12K jobs gone. The impacts of this administration and budget process are very real and hugely impactful to the US economy / grid. Call your senator, urge common sense adjustments to the tax credit treatment in the bill. #energysky

In just 5 months, twice as many clean energy projects have been scrapped as in all of 2024.

This totals $15.5B in lost investments—7x higher than last year’s total.

Red states like Arizona, Georgia, and Oklahoma were the hardest hit.

We simply cannot get other energy generation sources operating fast enough.

If we're going to meet rising energy demand, we're going to need solar and storage.

Yesterday a quick rain shower washed over my neighborhood in Washington, DC. It was still sunny out, and I caught these two mourning doves taking advantage of the rain to wash their wings. This is a great analysis from @christiantfong.bsky.social on the untapped potential of “clean repowering,” leveraging existing assets from retiring or retired fossil fuel plants to more rapidly deploy clean energy. Bravo!
Earlier this year, I co-authored a report on "Clean Repowering"—using interconnection fast-tracks to quickly, cheaply, and reliably build clean energy. Since then, additional research shows how this process can be more effective to prevent unwise investments in fossil assets 🧵
