Politicians constantly claim that the government must “live within its means”, just like any family.

In this video, I explain why the household analogy is not only wrong — it is the foundation of austerity.

"I've met some very bad people. None as bad as Trump. Not a decent cell in his body." (Child rapist and trafficker Jeffrey Epstein)

Let's all let that sink in, shall we?

This is the state of UK journalism. The Telegraph illustrates a report on a survey saying that people think life was better in 1975 with a picture of Margaret Thatcher rather than then-PM Harold Wilson

I'm not always a big fan of the BBC but this is a matter of national pride. If Starmer has any balls or backbone he will make it clear that the BBC is a UK institution, established by UK government statute and that the UK Govt. will ensure that funds are available to defend this case

“The billionaire class has sought to convince those making $30-an-hour that their enemies are those earning $20-an-hour. They want the people to fight amongst ourselves so that we remain distracted from the work of remaking a long, broken system.”

Sadly I'm not surprised
Graduate seminar did a deep dive on Thomas Paine’s Common Sense yesterday. At the line, “in America the law is king,” they (14 students from 6 countries) burst out laughing. I've been doing this for 35 years and this is the first time that was a laugh line.

Dear America. Back in 1649 England found a way to deal with an over-mighty authoritarian king.

Just saying.
