Blow Out (1981)

Pulling from numerous influences no doubt—Blow Up, The Conversation, The Parallax View—it also is very much about movie-making itself. The guilt and paranoia are great.

A great poster as well.

You can find it free on Kanopy (if your library offers access to the platform).

My theory, at least in Japan anyway, is that the cash-only restaurants offer the best food by far, while the restaurants that refuse cash offer the worst.

Great story so far. I added this to my list a while back after seeing @patrickzircher.bsky.social recommend it.

Given that I’m working toward getting published in Japan, I’ve decided to close my online store; I just simply don’t have the time to run the store and ship things on my own, and it was an ever-growing cost to maintain.

My online portfolio will remain as is.

Cory Doctorow has summed up a lot of ideas on why A1 is bad and how we can fight it. There’s an incredible amount of insight here that’s well worth reading.
