Grateful that Jesus can hold onto me better than I can hold onto him.
"We desperately need people who can calmly walk the awkward middle... who can sit in tension, embrace nuance, and welcome complexity...can love their enemies and have empathy...this is truly the way of Jesus— I’m trying; will you join me?"

Dear SBC leadership, you must do better.
But my hope for that has died a slow and torturous death...

Yesterday’s WomenAdvancing Summit at TomTom Festival reminded me:
We’re STILL fighting for funding.
VC access isn’t improving for women — it’s slipping.
The UK just launched a £255M fund for women-led startups.
We don’t need polish.
We need belief.

We all get a choice:
Perform leadership—or live it.
Cory Booker said:
“Hope is the active conviction that despair will never have the last word.”
That’s not just political. It’s personal. (1/3)

I was raised to be polite. For a long time, I thought that meant staying quiet. I’ve learned that true leadership isn’t about being liked— It’s about being real. Being rooted. These days, that means saying the quiet parts out loud.
About faith. About power. About the kind of leadership we need.

Leadership isn’t always about having answers. Sometimes it’s about staying curious, listening closely, and refusing to numb out. This helps. 👉 podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/l...

The White House quietly released a Friday night EO that would eradicate privacy protections, make enemies lists a lot easier to assemble, and basically set the stage for a police state.
The first and most important thing to know about last night's Exec order is that it's intended to break current law and allow people throughout the federal gov look at yr tax returns. Beyond that it's intended to compel states to turn over all their data to the fed govt.

The message of the Bible - civilizations survive not by strength but by how they respond to the weak; not by wealth but by how they care for the poor; not by power but by their concern for the powerless. What renders a culture invulnerable is the compassion it shows to the vulnerable.

Figure skating world championships were considered to be for men only until 1902, when Madge Syers showed up and took home silver and the ISU went "whooooops guess we need to segregate them."

It happened again in 1992 Olympic skeet shooting: Zhang Shan took gold and then they segregated the event.
