The US is so NOT ok
I was just told that I have to remove “climate” from the title of an ongoing grant if I want to keep it. And publications from that grant cannot include “climate” and other forbidden words. I can’t believe I’m writing this from the United States of America. #AcademicSky
Just received an email saying that it's not advisable to include the following words in future applications for research funding to the US DOT. Here we are.

I finished Careless People and I am stunned at how many near death experiences the author has had. And not at all surprised about the moral bankruptcy of company elites, but a bit at the whole Sheryl Sandburg bed plane thing.

My Grandmother was a WAVE in WWII who worked on breaking Nazi codes. She was incredibly proud of being part of the first generation of women in the US military. I am glad she has passed and doesn’t have to see her legacy being stuffed into a box in the corner as if it never mattered. 😔
