When I was 12, a friend warned me that Obama would bring martial law. 20 years later, the irony is sharp: the "small government" Right didn't fear tyranny—they just wanted to own the franchise.

The government extrajudicially executed a woman in broad daylight. It was caught on video from multiple angles, including the killer’s. So WHY ARE WE ACTING LIKE EVERYTHING IS OKAY?!!?!

On June 17th, 1930 President Herbert Hoover signed the Smoot-Hawley Tarriff act into law. The Smoot-Hawley Tarriffs cut American Exports AND imports by 67% and worsened the Great Depression. Anyway, we’re doing that again over 80 years later for some reason.
