Well, I made it out, the car started after almost three weeks of sitting, made it it town - got supplies. Rough trip back, and now the wind has stopped play once again for the next few days.

Ferry booked for tomorrow.
Fingers crossed the weather holds, so I can make my escape and restock with groceries and get a couple of tasks completed in town.
It's been a wild few weeks with the weather and I don't remember been cut off to this degree since I first moved here.

The BIG thaw is beginning..!
Winds in the region of 45mph + and warmer air flow have arrived for the next few days, With boat cancellations for the next three days.
Hopefully Mon or Tues are calmer so I can get out for groceries etc.

Hoped to head to town today, but otherwise hamstrung.
Old cars with keys that go in locks. Frozen locks & no way of unfreezing this morning meant doing a quick shop before catching next boat back home instead of getting done tasks I needed to in the big town.

I had fun (type2 fun) writing a script to create a 'Blog' with BASH. Actually a combo of a BASH backend & HTML/CSS frontend. So much so, thought I'd rewrite everything in Python.

Building a website using the commandline. While I'm very comfortable with HTML & CSS, using the cmd line for this was a new experience.
BASH scripting is new.
Some trial & error, learning is taking place, I like the result.

What do folks recommend in the Orthochromatic film range..? Anything other than Ilford Ortho.?
Needs to be available in sheet film 4x5.

Rodinal 1:50 25 mins.
I'd rated between 200 & 400 ASA, using the MDC as the start decided to develop at a midway point. 25 mins with agitation every 10 mins after the 1st minute & then every minute for the last 4 minutes.
