I’ve been awake since 3:45am. It’s now 8:45am. I start work at 11am. Do I try to sneak in a 90 min nap, or try to push through with caffeine, or just go ahead start a crippling cocaine habit? I’m kidding. I can’t afford cocaine.

You shouldn’t have to go broke to stay alive. A round of blood tests shouldn’t be out of pocket 7k. Do the leaders of our country hope those with chronic illness will die off so as not to be a financial “burden” on the 1%? Why don’t US folks working in medicine and/or insurance have empathy?

I love being home with my pets and all the wildlife that I’m fortunate to get to interact with in my own yard. Animals respect and respond to kindness. Wish more humans would.
Here is my strongest personal belief: the worst animal is better than the best human.
