Day 100, The Alchemyst by Michael Scott. Enjoyable series on the whole, though I didn't care for the ending. The interweaving of mythologies was great.

Day 99, The Ancient Child by N. Scott Momaday. I know House Made of Dawn is his big book, but I much preferred this one, probably because I studied Kiowa when I was at University of Oklahoma.

Day 98, Beasts Made of Night by Tochi Onyebuchi. Creative mythology and interesting story, though the cliffhanger ending is not cool. (I maintain that cliffhangers are inexcusable and just a gimmick to sell more books.)

Day 97, The Adventure of Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey. I have so much fondness for this series. Two subversive kids and their evil principal/Captain Underpants. The flip-or-rama and sign changing are delightful.

Day 96, Dead to the World by Charlaine Harris. When I started the series, I was unimpressed (how many times does Sookie need to describe shaving her legs?), but it grew on me as the series progressed.

Day 92, Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. I tended to empathize with the character being accosted, but then I also was the fish from Cat in the Hat (a book I never liked).

Day 89, Interpreting Literature with Children by Shelby A. Wolf. Needs updating, and the gender chapter is awful, but the way Wolf talks about engaging young children with literature is excellent.
