As someone who has worked on a DEI committee at a university now targeted by the government, I know what happens in the room and it’s literally just “how can we make our university/dept more welcoming and accessible to people who are historically marginalized?”

NIH has rescinded its scientific integrity policy. Hard to see this as anything other than clearing the way for shoddy research on things like vaccines. Regardless of the rationale, it's bad news for public health.

I’m horrified and speechless . Every single day brings a new horror with this administration.
Worth noting that - as @helenbranswell.bsky.social points out - according to court filings David Geier's only qualification is a bachelor of arts that he completed in 2002 at the University of Maryland.
