There's been no action taken in 2 days. Not sure how long NPM is supposed to take to address a malware report for a package that has a completely unknown insecure URL in its package.json from which you can download and view clearly malicious JS source code.
The following NPM user "jpdjpd" / "Dharshan" is typosquatting three different eslint plugins, and serving malware that scrapes your environment variables, git credentials, and hardware details, and sends them to jpartifacts(dot)com as soon as you install their packages.

Oops, it just so happens that the person who flooded Bandcamp with 23 undisclosed AI-generated albums in 5 months and spammed Reddit with them just had their account taken down. I hope everyone snagged that ~$700 USD discography purchase in time. So worth it...

(I'm deep in my anti-AI era.)

The deepfake Jimmy Kimmel political commentary YouTube channel with AI-generated scripts containing nonexistent "exact quotes" from world leaders has been terminated! I am so thankful for this.

But a new AI slop channel with the same name exists now. Family Feud fanfiction.

I'm never going to call a human an "it". I can't believe that there are people who use that as their preferred pronoun. I feel like respecting that pronoun goes beyond the bounds of what I can do; I'm not dehumanizing someone, even on their request. (And this is what AGDQ is making me think about.)

Compilation titled "my cat is so cute" but the uploader doesn't own a cat, nor are they a real person, and it's actually 10 different stolen cat clips and a couple of undisclosed AI-generated clips for good measure, all the comments are completely positive, and your grip on sanity loosens.

I don't understand European road markings. The first picture is of a one-way road with two lanes. The second picture is of a two-way road with one lane in each direction. Crossing the dashed white line in the second picture puts you in oncoming traffic! Why are the lines identical?

McDonald's managers that tell their employees to immediately mark all orders as "now serving" and then "served" as soon as they appear in the system, stop screwing around. You're confusing customers for the sake of what, telling corporate that you're inhumanly fast? But you're actually too slow.

I keep getting ads for Aveva, and I can only conclude from these ads that they're a cult. I don't know a thing about what they do, and their marketing is 100% word salad.

Tanzania has more people than Kenya? Myanmar has more people than South Korea? Would not have guessed. I'm learning a lot from binging BradyYourTutor videos. It's nice to have popular YouTube channels out there that promote education and make it seem cool to be well-read. We need more of that.

Saying "addicting" when you know the word "addictive" exists is not very impressing.

That feel when you make it to ante 8 in Balatro with the "Mr. Bones" joker, so you skip two blinds without even checking what the skip tags are, suck at the boss blind, get half of the score goal, lose, and it says "Saved by Mr. Bones. You win!" It feels like cheating. Hollow victory, but I won.

What personality disorder makes a person say "do you even know what [word or concept] means?", then sneer at you while you explain what it means, then cut you off and say "no", then give the exact same explanation?

This has now happened to me twice, years apart. Cartoonishly toxic people.

Nearly every day, I encounter a Reddit post whose top comment is from a moderator saying "this post has been removed because it violates rule X". Then how am I seeing the post? Why is my timeline covered in posts that are supposedly removed? I've seen this for so many years and never understood it.

The soundtrack of Dirt 3 played a major role in forming my music tastes. I forgot about this particular track for years, but listening to it again, it's probably my favourite of them all. Infectious UK grime beat, but the producer is American. Awesome melodic composition.

Making a YouTube poop of Charlie Kirk is fine. Editing his wife talking about his death is a bit much. Ending the video with unedited footage of the last couple of seconds of his life followed by a song with gunshot SFX... you're celebrating a violent death in a disgraceful way.

RIP my Clyp account. In the span of 2018 to 2020, I made and uploaded so much amateur music there, with fun descriptions for all my tracks.

At the end of 2020, Clyp stopped accepting new uploads unless you paid a subscription fee. That actually ended my music career. Now they're deleting my stuff.

Of all the good music in Mario Kart World, that harmonica riff is an obnoxious choice for the title theme. There's no other Mario Kart game with a title theme that makes me go "ugh" like that harmonica does. I also sorely miss when Mario games had more electronic music than live music.

I always find it really satisfying to be able to guess which artist made a track while listening to it blindly for the first time. Particularly when it comes to experimental electronic music, when you're guessing based on synth sounds, rhythms, and structure, which artists try not to reuse too much.

This track by Plaid from 2006 (its name is "To", which is hard to google) is nice entry-level IDM; it sounds like it could be late-game level music from a 2D platformer. The switch-ups in mood and rhythm, lovely melodies, and the triplet drum breakdown near the end are 💯

When I was a kid in the early 2000s, I once bought a single box of Hot Wheels cookies from a convenience store. They were like Oreos, but they tasted slightly different. (Better, in my mind.) Each cookie had an image of a different Hot Wheels car on it. I can't find any proof of their existence.
