The 12 ft Black Woman statue is near my office. I was conflicted about it. But I saw me 3 yrs ago, 60 pounds heavier with braids. I thought about what I achieved in life with that body: great job, wonderful,adoring husband, and love from family, friends. 60lbs w/silk press: nothing’s different.

I wonder if there is a correlation between job anxiety and demand for networking events? The professional and alumni associations I belong to are at capacity for every conference, speaker engagement and talk. Usually they can’t give away enough tickets:)

I also notice how there is little to no chatter among conservative media about who Trump’s VP will or should be, unlike the near slug fest with Biden’s pick. I suspect it’s because they will line up behind whoever Trump picks.

The Dems are acting from a place of fear and desperation which is rarely a winning formula. Republicans appear to run military-style simulations of every anticipated move by Dems and plan for every single one. What’s the long game if Trump wins? Dems plan?

Are Democrats going to freak out every four years with the fear mongering? What is your sustainable plan for 2028, 2032. There is only so long that you can hold the door.

For once I wished I was one of those rarefied swing voters who don’t start paying attention to the election until after Labor Day. The compartmentalization skills are amazing.
