Who's excited for Ready or Not 2: Here Comes My Resume? It promises to be a truly exciting horror/comedy about the pains of job hunting.

Once again, I am simply begging you to get off of Twitter.
I tried to warn y'all about the oncoming danger of deepfake porn in my Playboy article, this shit is ONLY going to get worse...also just stopping posting on Twitter, it's one of the few ways to actually stick it to Elon.

The Heated Rivalry boys have a new competition: Hectic Job Race. Who will win, Indeed or ZipRecruiter? Can’t promise that this will be anywhere near the success of Heated Rivalry, instead of playing pivot, they’re pivoting to the corporate sector.

Yup, 2024 was a great year and 2023/2025 were pretty good, but by the end of 2025 it got real quiet and now it's just crickets
January 6, 2026 at 3:35 PM
Yeah, all of my last few jobs for the last 3 years have been referrals, which has been great, but none of those people have leads or open positions right now
January 6, 2026 at 3:27 PM
For real, where do people find jobs these days? LinkedIn is all trash, StaffMeUp never leads to anything. What do people use?
January 6, 2026 at 2:53 PM
If you find the location let me know

Move over Wuthering Heights and get ready for Weathering Job Hunts, a movie that promises to be more tedious than it is exciting. Starring yours truly and LinkedIn. With a special guest appearance by my awful graphic design skills. Get hired in 2026 :)

Anyway, there are 2 different cuts and MoMA screened the remastered A-cut with live accompaniment a few years ago. It was amazing.

I love this movie, I wrote an essay on it in college analyzing its portrayals of masculinity contrasting the male lead with the other guys and how the lead was portrayed more similarly to how women are depicted. I think I called it Be a Man: Masculine Identity in The Cat and the Canary or something.

And it's not even about budget, it's just about planning and caring and talent. Today we have massive budget movies that look so dull

This movie is drop dead gorgeous
The cinematography for this movie is absolutely beautiful.

The biggest fantasy of Heated Rivalry is the idea of NYC actually having a good hockey team

Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (1989)

Dir. Joe Johnston

For some reason I never saw this as a kid even though I was obsessed with Spaceballs and loved Rick Moranis

We saw it on CBS.

I do wish that in the scenes at home Tom Cavanaugh’s character and the boyfriend were more physically close as a contrast to how they acted outside the home, but it is a delightful movie

There's definitely a lot more movies that fit this list, but these were the first things I could pick out when going back through all my old Queerly Ever After notes. 8/8
