Anyway, there are 2 different cuts and MoMA screened the remastered A-cut with live accompaniment a few years ago. It was amazing.

I love this movie, I wrote an essay on it in college analyzing its portrayals of masculinity contrasting the male lead with the other guys and how the lead was portrayed more similarly to how women are depicted. I think I called it Be a Man: Masculine Identity in The Cat and the Canary or something.
